Saengsawang, who came to the U.S. in 2005, runs the group with his wife, Kumuth Chatterjee; the first Farmhouse Kitchen opened in San Francisco in 2015. Dishes include Panang short rib braised for 48 hours, blue rice salad with green mango, Hat Yai fried chicken and sticky chili-oil wings. The 3,600-square-foot dining room is decked out with flowers, with a retro bar that shucks oysters and a tiki-style patio trimmed in bamboo. Birthdays come with singing servers, gongs and drums.
