Eating out with a dog in Seattle

Washington's food code lets a restaurant welcome dogs on its outdoor patio if it has a plan for it. The dog must be leashed or in a carrier, must not walk through the restaurant to get there, and has to stay off tables, chairs and benches (WAC 246-215-06570, Animal Legal & Historical Center). Seattle is also unusual in how many bars, taverns and taprooms let dogs come inside, like Seapine Brewing Company, Ballard Station Public House, Beer Star White Center, Beveridge Place Pub and more.
