Dogs inside
Washington's food code generally keeps pet dogs out of indoor areas where food is served, but on our list a source says dogs are welcome inside at Ampersand Cafe, Bark! Espresso, Coby's Dog Cafe, Street Bean Coffee, and Anchorhead Coffee. Coby's Dog Cafe on Nickerson Street is built around dogs, with an indoor space where they can play; there is a fee for dogs.
Treats for dogs
Ampersand Cafe, Bark! Espresso, and Coby's Dog Cafe sell pup cups, dog lattes or other treats made for dogs.
A few tips
- Many coffee shops have no table service. Your dog waits at the outdoor table while you order, so bring a friend or plan for it.
- From October to April, look for a covered spot or a café that lets dogs in.
- Rules change, and a café that welcomed dogs last year may not this year. If it matters, call ahead.
