More about NIDO's Backyard

The couple spent about four years on the project, planned as an indoor and outdoor space combining a restaurant, bar and music venue with an agave garden out back. A city requirement to build a crosswalk delayed the opening, and they turned to crowdfunding in 2019 to finish. Other dishes at launch included guacamole, garlic shrimp tacos and ahi tuna carnitas. The original Nido was remodeled and reopened in 2022 as Odin, a mezcal bar.
