Taplands opened in spring 2016 in a strip mall near Santa Clara University. Inside there are wood-paneled walls, big leather sofas and flat-screen TVs tuned to sports, and staff will pour samples before you commit to a glass. Besides beer, the list includes a small selection of wine, cider and kombucha.
