Dog parks and the dog beach in Long Beach
Long Beach Parks, Recreation and Marine runs all the dog parks on this page, plus Rosie's Dog Beach, where dogs can be off leash on the sand between Granada and Roycroft Avenues. Downtown has three small ones close together: Lincoln Park, Pike Park and K-9 Corner. The biggest dog parks on the list are Recreation Dog Park on 7th Street and Wrigley Heights.
The parks are not supervised. Dogs must be over four months old, vaccinated, licensed and wear current tags, and they must be on a leash outside the dog park (Long Beach Parks, Recreation and Marine). Several parks close one morning a week for maintenance; the note on each park says when.
After the park, see the dog-friendly cafés in Long Beach and the restaurants with dog-friendly patios.
