More about Portal

Jennifer Tucci, who also runs Rosamunde Sausage Grill, opened Portal in 2012 with Warren Rector in a space that had been the restaurant Wasabi. The overhaul added a large patio, with plexiglass panels to block the wind off the lake, and a pizza oven.

Brunch draws the biggest crowds. Regular orders include chilaquiles, challah french toast, eggs benedict, mini burgers with fried chicken or pork belly, and the garbage bread, a stromboli filled with pepperoni, sausage and cheese. The house Bloody Mary comes with housemade pickles, and mimosas are poured by the pitcher. Trivia and live music are on the calendar too.
