Owners Adair Paterno and Tim Clifford were offered the business by The Trappist's owners, who had long carried Sante Adairius beers. The Oakland taproom, called the Arbor, was the brewery's third location after Capitola, opened in 2012, and the Santa Cruz Portal in Midtown, opened in 2017. The bar sits in the Leimert Building, a Victorian from the 1870s, with a patio in the back.
