Sather and Barry began homebrewing around 2010 and taught at homebrew supply shops, including Ballast Point's Home Brew Mart, before opening on a five-barrel system. Their Summon Ifrit amber ale won gold at the World Beer Cup in 2023 and silver in 2024. Cans carry custom art and a story written by the owners, and the logo, drawn by comic-book artist David Miller, shows a battlemage with hops on his ax and barley in his beard.
