The business has roots going back about 30 years and was once owned by Padres pitcher Randy Jones before it moved from San Diego to El Cajon, where a ribbon-cutting was held in March 2019. The name refers to the old wagon base, or buckboard, the meats are cooked on. Jalapeño hushpuppies and bread pudding are among the extras, and catering is offered.
