Pizza Port Solana Beach

The original Pizza Port, on Highway 101 in Solana Beach, where siblings Gina and Vince Marsaglia bought a struggling pizza place in 1987. Vince began brewing in the back, and the first house beers went on tap in 1992, alongside the pizza that started it all.

In the early days the siblings slept in the restaurant for three months because they could not afford an apartment. The Solana Beach brewpub was named Small Brewpub of the Year at the Great American Beer Festival in 2003 and 2004. From here the company grew to Carlsbad in 1997, San Clemente in 2003, Ocean Beach in 2010 and later Bressi Ranch, Imperial Beach and Belmont Park. House beers include Swami's IPA, Chronic Ale and Mongo double IPA.
