Waverly opened in fall 2020 in the former Rimel's space, run by SDCM, the restaurant group behind Kettner Exchange in Little Italy and The Grass Skirt in Pacific Beach. The room has coastal decor, and a wraparound patio adds outdoor seating.
Besides specialty cocktails, the drinks list includes nonalcoholic spritzers and kombucha, and a resident magician and mentalist works the room. AAA gives the restaurant three Diamonds.
