The room was once a storage unit and now holds board games, shuffleboard and cornhole, with live music on some nights. Crowlers, sealed single-use cans, let you take beer home.

Founders Derek Tam and Brian Edwards grew up together in the South Bay and started homebrewing in 2007; brewer Peter Burrell, a Saratoga native and Siebel Institute graduate, helped them scale up. The name is a Hawaiian word for people of mixed ancestry, which both founders are. There are sister taprooms in Los Gatos and San Carlos, plus Hapa's Creekside off The Alameda.
