Faultline was a Sunnyvale brand roughly 25 years old when Bedrock Restaurant Group bought it in 2019. The group later acquired Laughing Monk, a San Francisco brewery whose tasting room opened in 2016, and folded both names into one. Some Faultline beers stayed on, including the Kolsch, Redwood Ale, Hefe Weizen and Black Dragon Stout, as did sandwiches like the Nashville chicken. Bedrock president Sam Ghadiri, who also started Sammy G's Pizzeria, runs the business, with sister locations in Scotts Valley and at State Street Market in Los Altos.
