Five beers were on tap when the pub opened, and early versions of Mermaid's Red and Islander IPA are still in the core lineup. By its third year the brewery was supplying accounts such as Hotel del Coronado. Bottling began in 2004, and in 2012 production moved to a larger brewhouse in Bay Park. The company won mid-size brewery of the year at the 2014 World Beer Cup and added a pub in Imperial Beach in 2014.
