Opened on November 18, 2011, the Hillcrest restaurant was the first Snooze in California, after five locations in Colorado. Owner Jon Schlegel said the concept grew out of his earlier work in La Jolla. The room has a retro 1950s look with classic rock on the speakers, and the coffee is organic and from Guatemala.
