Working Class took over the 30th Street corner that used to be Ritual Tavern. Out front, blue shipping-container siding and an orange-stained pergola shade a street-side patio, and inside a long wraparound bar takes up most of the front room. A bigger back patio has artificial turf, picnic tables, living-wall planters and heat lamps.

Dinner plates lean on working-class classics such as Salisbury steak and chicken pot pie, and a pastrami Reuben on grilled sourdough stood out in the San Diego Reader's review.
