Brewer Ray Astamendi, who had worked at Mission, Maui, Left Coast and St. Archer, founded Fall with Dave Lively. Astamendi has said the name celebrates his many falls from grace. The first batch was an IPA called Spirit of '77, and Plenty for All is brewed with the Anchor Brewing yeast strain.

After outgrowing North Park, Fall took over the former Saint Archer brewery in Miramar in 2023 and opened a second tasting room there in August of that year.
