Rules

Since November 2024, Fort Lauderdale allows leashed dogs in all of its city parks, on a leash of six feet or less and under an adult's control. Dogs must be licensed and vaccinated, and owners must clean up after them. Dogs are still not allowed on athletic fields, courts, playgrounds, splash pads or beaches unless a rule allows it, which is why Canine Beach and the Snyder Park dog lake are special areas. In the fenced dog parks, puppies under four months and dogs in heat are not allowed, and one person may bring up to three dogs. (City of Fort Lauderdale)

Rules and hours can change, and dog parks sometimes close for repairs. Check the signs at the gate.
